✈️ It's travel week! We're off on Friday, and so much needs to be done beforehand! So happy :)

💨 It looks like the storm has quieted down overnight. Even if we weren't in the worst of it, it was scary at times.

✍️ I've made most of my doodles for the rest of inktober, and photographed them too. Easy posting while I'm stressing out about packing hehehe

🧘‍♀️ yoga was so good again. Really loved it.

☕️ almost as good: the coffee I’m having now

🌃 this time next week I’ll be in Dublin!

The little S

I was working in my Filofax and realised I haven’t talked about this yet.

It’s a little S in cross stitch, on a small scrap of cotton and I smile every time I see it.

It’s something that’s traveled from planner to notebook to, now, the front of my Filofax.

I found this scrap in my grandmother’s sewing kit, one of the few things I wanted when we had to clear her room shortly after her death.

It’s only fitting that I cherish this because I love to craft now. She taught me that.

I’ve abandoned my plan to crochet squares from a pattern book because the squares were all different sizes!

Frogged them all and am now back to the original plan of granny squares 🙂

Also much better because I can make granny squares while watching tv, but these funky pattern book stitches? Nope.

Simple is always the best!

🍵 tea makes everything better.

☔️ the weather seems to have calmed down a bit. Saw several people struggle with the storm and rain.

✍️ have almost filled up my sketchbook with doodles (on both sides of the page). Just leafing through it makes me so happy. The thing that makes me laugh the most is the attempt at self portraits I had to do for a course.

I have to say, I really love wordwrap, especially because now I have a journal I can connect to my Mastodon, just write whatever comes to mind and share it.

I can definitely see myself post here more than on my blog! (which is at https://sylvia.studio for new peeps)

I've written a new blog post just now, and in it I remarked how I loved to see the trees across the street being swept around by the storm.

What I love even more, though, is seeing birds hang on to branches in said trees. They are so resilient!

Also, how are they not battered around by gusts of wind as they swoop by my window?

Do hashtags work? #autumn
Am in bath and my cat is meowing my ears off.

Why?

Tried giving her pets and snacks. Still lots of stares and meows.

I think that trying to understand a cat’s needs is wildly impossible.
