So, I charged up the old iPad mini early this morning, as we're thinking of giving them to the kids when we buy the latest, updated, new iPad minis due out this month. And ...

There's an auto lock screen showing. I don't ever remember having a lock screen for this thing. I mean, ever.

Password? Hell if I know what it might be. Now what the hell do I do?
After such a weird stressful, and emotionally draining weekend, I hope this week is quiet, and uneventful, except. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Blood tests of Friday and then, on Saturday, me and mine go for our Covid/Flu/RVS shots.

Okay, so maybe not so quiet after all.
Woke up to MINUS 4 this morning, but with glorious sunshine and brilliant blue skies. Straight after showers and breakfast we went out and crunched through the leave to go run errands.

Perfection.

This post had me thinking about my mother's button box. Something that, as a kid, she used as a tool to keep us kids quiet and occupied when she sewed.

It was a hand me down from my dad's mum to her, and held a treasure trove of what, at the time, seemed like a billion bright shiny coloured buttons of myriad sizes and shapes. Buttons that we would empty out onto the floor and sort into either colours, sizes, or sets. It was a past time we never got bored of at least, I never did. There was everything from beautifully crafted pearl buttons, to tiny little wooden toggles, to cheap plastic affairs that endlessly fascinated me.

Even now, all these years later, I can picture my favourite buttons in my minds eye, and smile. I miss that button box and wonder what happened to it after my mum passed? How sad to think it might have been thrown away.

I'd like to think of it in someone else's house, a place with a little girl sat on the floor, next to her mother while she sews, playing with all those shiny little treasures.
